DIY Wineglass Lampshade
Boost your creative reputation with this Wineglass Lampshade!
Ever wondered what it would be like to create your own lampshade? I’ve always wanted to create one, but I thought “forget it, it’s too complicated”. Until, I found this really cute and creative idea to make a lampshade with a wineglass.
It’s super easy and fast. All you need is: A wineglass, one 1.5″ -2″ tall candle, and one sheet of felt with the design or color of your choice. You could also use an 8.5″ X 11″ scrapbook paper of your choice.
Step 1: Cut the felt sheet or scrapbook paper into a skirt shape.
Each end of the skirt should be approximately 4.5 inches. The neck of the skirt should be approximately 6 inches when measured straight from corner to corner. Once you have your skirt cut out, you are pretty much done. The rest is just putting it together.
Step 2: Glue the lampshade skirt
Glue your cut out with a hot glue gun or any fabric glue. Bring one corner of the skirt neck about 1/2 an inch on top of the other neck corner and glue it together. The bottom corner will be about 2 inches on top of the other end of the skirt. Make sure to glue both top and bottom corners, as well as the material that’s overlapping each other. This will ensure that your lampshade turns our neat and sturdy.
Step 3: Light up your wineglass lampshade
Here you have it! Your unique and cute lampshade in just a few minutes. You can light it up either with a candle or an LED tealight. This wineglass lampshade can be used to decorate your dinner table, or you can also use a few of them to decorate the wedding party tables.
