People with curly hair understand the miserly the hair go through post workout, drenched in sweat. It is  important to carefully look after curly hair during exercise as sweating can make it unmanageable. Some  of the few tips to tackle curls during exercise includes: tie up your hair either with a bun or braid to keep  your hair intact with no frizzes. This helps managing your hair while working on your abs, and prevents  breakages which would be caused by gym equipment or friction against clothes.

You should wear a headgear while exercising since sweating makes your scalp go drenched with sweat  making your hair wet. Wear a cotton scarf or bandana so that sweat can be trapped and your scalp can  breathe freely. While swimming wear a silk scarf then put on your swim cap.

Dry your hair with blow dryer after workout especially when heading out to meet someone or partying.  After blow drying your hair, open your bun or braid down and then dry again followed by combing.  Moisturize your hair every night before going to sleep using water based moisturizers. This is because  hair looks dry and dull after workout and a good moisturizer can provide instant shine and bounce your
hair.

Mask your hair since work out results in sticky and tangled hair. Make a mask of ovacado and olive oil  and apply it on your hair. Rinse the hair after 30minutes to allow it absorb the oil. Type of hair you can  make while working out includes high bun, low bun, pineapple method, satin cap, twist braids and Bantu  knots.

Wash your hair whenever required using sulphate free shampoo. Remember not to wash your hair  everyday as this can lead to damaged and dull hair. When it is too sweaty, simply rinse with water. Lastly  plan your workout and hair maintenance schedule. Never sacrifice your health for the sake of your hair  but instead seek an easy maintenance schedule while exercising regularly . Incase you wish to sweat  less, try low intensive exercise like yoga, Pilates, or strength training.
