The New, All-Natural Pumpkin Spice Latte Has A Release Date
Taking after the life-changing announcement that all Pumpkin Spice Lattes starting now and into the foreseeable future will be made with genuine pumpkin, Starbucks affirmed at a tasting in New York City that Pumpkin Spice Season formally starts September 8.
Peter Duke, the man, nay the god, who made the PSL 12 years prior, clarified that he initially made the flavor by pouring espresso shots over pumpkin pies. The beverage grew to be a fan favorite (“We knew in the first week we had something unique”) and Starbucks hasn’t thought back since, that is, until prior this year, when the organization chose they needed to improve the drinks even better. That implied expelling all caramel shading from the PSL and including genuine pumpkin purée as a base. Fun certainty: The new all-natural PSL has exact same caloric and nourishing quality as the earlier years’ form. Does it even make a difference?
Starbucks has so far found that individuals can’t taste the difference between the old and new PSLs. I, having spent an evening being served shots on shots on shots of the new drink, can affirm it tastes incredible. Whether this is because, as most twentysomethings, I have been hibernating since my last Pumpkin Spice Latte of 2015 or in light of the fact that the natural ingredients actually do taste better, I am not certain, but rather the drink is damn great.
Additionally, this is the thing that Peter Duke resembles. I inquired as to whether he generally wears orange and he said no. Other than that little truth, he’s our era’s most noteworthy hero.
