8 Surprising Health Tips That You Won’t Believe Are True

Check out some of the surprising health tips you didn’t know are true
1- Have a cup of coffee for a better nap
A Japanese study that examined the quality of nap concluded that people who consumed about 200 mg of caffeine right before a 20-minute rest were more alert and had better performance on computer tests than those who took a nap without having drunk coffee. How is this possible? Apparently, a 20-minute nap finishes just as the caffeine starts to kick in, clearing brain of adenosine – a molecule that is a byproduct of activity and wakefulness, and maximising alertness. As the adenosine levels go higher, we get more fatigued, and napping combined with caffeine reduces the effects of adenosine and amplifies the effects of nap.
2- Don’t brush your teeth after eating
If you want healthy teeth, you should avoid brushing them immediately after meals, especially if they contain acidic food or drinks, like citrus fruits, tomatoes, soda, sports drinks and such. All these can soften the tooth enamel and erode the layer underneath. This is why it is important to wait about 30 to 60 minutes before brushing.
