Sophia Bush Talks Body Confidence And The Constant Pressures
We all realize that Sophia Bush is an unfathomably gifted and effective actress — hello queen Brooke Davis.
Yet, that doesn’t mean she’s resistant to the same horrendous feeling we all get: addressing regardless of whether we’re sufficient.
“The word enough is a monster for me. I don’t know how anybody ever feels that they are sufficient: successful enough, smart enough, pretty enough, healthy enough.”
This month she graces the front of Health magazine, and is sharing how she’s gradually figuring out how to acknowledge herself for who she is.
I got so frightened the first time I chose to say, ‘I am startled of not sufficiently being.’ And what returned tenfold – ladies who recognize, ladies who sympathize and ladies who encounter the majority of that – was mind boggling to me. We are so in this together. What’s more, that helps.
Also, how we have to all learn, for the last time, that we’re genuinely, honestly, 110% ENOUGH.
A companion said to me, ‘Let it be sufficient, whatever you did today. You went on a two-mile run and you didn’t do a circuit-training workout? What difference does it make? Give it a chance to be sufficient.’ This is me, in any case. I will never be as tall as Gisele. I will never have bone structure like Hilary Rhoda. I will never have Penelope Cruz’s hair. So what difference does it make? We are so molded as ladies to abhor on ourselves constantly, yet take a gander at what we can do.
