The film portrays the horrifying story about a mother and a son who were trapped in a single room and held as captives for years, trying to survive. When they finally succeeded to escape, they face the real world after so many years.
Jennifer Lawrence appeared in the astonishing Dior dress, elegant and beautiful as always. She was nominated for her role in “Joy“. “Joy” is semi-fictional biographical-comedy drama about Joy Mangano who invented a Miracle Mop and became a millionaire and owner of a business empire. After the Miracle Mop she patented many other products and sold them mainly through the Home Shopping Network and QVC. The movie depicts her rising to the top and overcoming personal and professional obstacles.
Kate Winslet who was nominated for Best Actress in a Supporting Role for her performance in the “Steve Jobs“, wore an elegant Ralph Lauren creation while Leonardo DiCaprio, who finally won Oscar after six nominations, appeared in Armani suit.
Lady Gaga came to the Red Carpet wearing astonishing Brandon Maxwell’s creation. Mark Ruffalo, who was nominated for the Best actor in a Supporting role for his work at “Spotlight” wore Valentino suit. This movie was inspired by true events and it portrayed controversial topic of child abuse by the Catholic clergy.
