If the airport looked like Chanel it would be the only one I’d fly,JANELLE MONAE
The party at Monaco’s house brought together the elite of the fashion industry including Balmain’s Olivier Rousteing €‹, Christian Louboutin and Giambattista Valli as well as a few music icons: Miguel’s breathtaking performance and the ravishing Janelle Monae who attended wearing a stylish white Naeem Khan tuxedo. The six-time Grammy nominee was able to share her experience of this year’s Paris Fashion Week.
Since you have been seen on so many shows, how have you liked the Paris Fashion Week?
I’ve been so motivated to be even more imaginative as an artist and as a designer. I’m always looking for something for myself. It’s just been inspiring to see the production of diffent designers, to experience the whole runway process. It’s been amazing.
What was your favorite show this season?
Each show was special in its own way but Chanel touched my heart. Karl Lagerfeld is a seer. Today’s show, the outfits were classic. It was like a dream that I saw. The show with a travel theme? Amazing! Karl made me have a deeper admiration for airports because I practically live in the airport. If the airport looked like Chanel it would be the only one I’d fly.
Who are your favorites in the young female artist’s category these days?
There is a vibrant duo that goes by the name of St. Beauty. They are writing and producing their music which is absolutely great. I also love Halsey! She’s amazing.
