FIFTH HARMONY BEAUTY LOOK
When it’s about to award shows and red carpet events the ladies of Fifth Harmony are known for going glam. If you saw our latest shoot with them then you know they can rock the au-naturale look also. For a event as big as the MTV VMAs the girls decided to up the wow factor and we have the exclusive sneak of how they got their amazing look together from makeup artist Clarissa Luna.
“The inspiration for the look was black and white,” Clarissa shared. “The girls wanted to go more monochromatic on the red carpet. Ally and Camila wore white dresses so we went for a more ethereal, not-so-made-up look to match.” To get a goddess-like glow for the two girls, Clarissa brushed on the e.l.f. Essential Smudge Pot Cream Eyeshadow and e.l.f. Studio Moisturizing Lipstick in a color of Perfect Pink.
For Normani’s silky smooth skin, Clarissa started with a base of e.l.f. Studio HD Mattifying Cream Foundation. As for her OMG smokey eyes, Clarissa mixed e.l.f’s. Essential Smudge Pot Cream Eyeshadow in Back to Basic and Hit the Town in the crease to cover her whole lid. To complete the eyes, Clarissa did an exaggerated liner and a smoked-out bottom using the Precision Liquid Eyeliner.
To match Lauren’s avant garde attire, Clarissa kept the beauty minimal and super posh. “We went with the e.l.f Flawless Foundation and then we finished it off with the e.l.f. Studio High Definition Powder.” With a little bit of contouring on the cheeks, she focused on making Lauren’s lashes stand out with e.l.f. Essential Lengthening & Defining Mascara on both the top and bottom.
To pimp up Dinah’s black and silver outfit, she put the champagne colors from the e.l.f. Studio Prism Eyeshadow on top of the Smudge Pot to give the lids more of a sparkle. “I just smudged out the top liner and added a lash. It all came out kind of like a gun metal color on the eye, which is really nice.” To complete the face she used e.l.f. Studio Moisturizing Lipstick in Southern Belle.
While each girl has their own unique style, one thing Clarissa used on all five ladies was the e.l.f. Studio HD Lifting Concealer. “I could have used that all over their faces. It’s so smooth and covers them completely and will not move.” This can be used for going out at night.”If you put it right around the edge of the lip it creates what we call an HD lip. Just a lip that’s extremely sharp.”
“I’ll go over their faces again with the HD powder because it has no color and smoothes everything out. Than I’ll take the e.l.f. Studio Baked Highlighter and touch up on everyone’s cheekbones, noses, and cupid bows to make sure everyone has a really beautiful glow by the time they get to the red carpet.”
Let the showtime begins.
