Do you often feel like you have to calm yourself down?

When you are anxious, this can be quite terrible feeling that depends on the level of your anxiety.  100 things are going through your mind and the biggest problem is that all these things and thoughts are negative.  You feel like there is no way out of any situation.

Here are some ways to calm yourself

1- Breathing

Breathing is the oldest way, and well known as one of the best ways to calm and relax yourself. It helps the body to go from nervous to very relaxing  level. Here is a good advice how you can relax by breathing. Slowly inhale by filling belly and then the chest, and count to 4. Hold your breath by counting to number 4 again and then exhale slowly. Also count to 4 and repeat this a few times.

2- Accept your anxiety

Don’t ignore your feeling because that only makes thing worse. By accepting your anxiety you will take the necessary steps on time.

3- Focus on your thoughts

When being anxious, brain starts to play with you and for each situation you have like 50 questions. Because you are worried about the outcome. Stop doing that. Even if the outcome is not as expected, it is not the end of the world. Things will eventually come to their place.

4- Use positive thoughts

Try from every situation pull out something positive. Positive thoughts will change your mood to the better, of course. Remember one important thing, stress and negative thoughts cannot change the situation. They can only make it worse.
