Amy Schumer Determined to Reduce Gun Violence, Says She Thinks of Lafayette Shooting Victims Everyday


Amy Schumer is not prepared to disregard what happened in Lafayette, La.

Under two weeks after a shooter opened fire inside a motion picture screening of Trainwreck, the Hollywood on-screen character is standing up and promising to make waves in the battle against weapon viciousness.

It all started when Sarah Clements €”who depicts herself as an “student activist for safer communities” and a “daughter of a Sandy Hook survivor” €” penned a passionate supplication to the A-lister to make an alternate in the development.

“We must work to close down” the “same gathering of core ideologies” that make issues, including: “disgusting comments and harassment we receive on Twitter and other online networking stages, the fixation of numerous mass shooters (see the Isla Vista case) with hostile to woman’s rights and against ladies standards, the over-worship of guns and fetishization of what they remain for, and the simple access to firearms.”

Things being what they are, Schumer perused the letter and really wanted to react.

“Her name was Mayci, not Marci and I consider her and Jillian everyday,” the actress composed on Twitter when reviewing the two victims who were killed. “Try not to stress I’m on it. You’ll see.”

Clements reacted by composing, “Thank you again for reacting to my letter about weapon brutality €¦ Good fortunes!”

Schumer isn’t the first Hollywood star to stand up on weapon savagery taking after the staggering shooting. Rebel Wilson chose to give adherents a point of view from somebody who has lived in Australia with far stricter regulations.

“I don’t care for getting political yet America you truly need to take after Australia’s illustration re firearm laws,” the Pitch Perfect star shared on Twitter. “I don’t recollect a mass shooting in Australia since they upgraded the weapon laws.”

She included, “It appears like consistently in America there’s a shooting.”
